Dice Obscuring Notes

What would happen if I switched the 2D6s to 2D4s and had a little plastic 'cap' that went over the 2D4s with a little hood so you could only see the tops of the pyramids, and only in your direction? Roll with your hands and place the hood over the rolled dice. Because of the peaks of D4 dice, the hood could orient them just by being placed atop them. The downsides are that this is a custom piece and that it messes with the cube packaging I've already done, not to mention possible consequences to the gameplay. I just can't help but think about Mastermind though.

What about a capsule-like game case where the two endcaps were mini dice cups? The endcaps could be opaque while the center cylinder would be transparent. Hmmm...
